These Meteorites were originally discovered in 1891. A meteor weighing approximately 150 feet across struck the earth in Arizona about 50,000 years ago. The crater this meteor caused is one of he best kept and preserved on the planet. These Canyon Diablo Meteorites are a Iron Ocrahedrite, coarse (2.0mm)IA type.

This specimen measures about 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ x 3/4″ and weighs 64.30 grams.
